Arizona Pastor Preaches Hate Speech About Sexual Assault, Gets ‘Assaulted’ Himself

In a recent YouTube video, a preacher in Glendale, Arizona was holding nasty pro-rape signs outside of a high school. Brother Dean Saxton was standing in front of a local high school preaching against the LGBT community. He actually had a sign that said, “you deserve to be raped.”

A student responded to his hate speech by hitting him with a baseball bat. She has been charged with felony assault and marijuana possession.

A teacher had this to say to him about his nasty hate speech:

“I’m trying to influence the fact that you need to be gone. I think you’re a disgrace to Christianity. Why don’t you go and preach it to somebody who really wants to hear your message, like Westboro Baptist Church?”

This is the same man who said women wearing yoga pants are “partially responsible” for their rape. This is a disgusting philosophy to have. Women are never asking to be raped. They should not have to be told to wear different clothing, actually, men should be expected to control themselves.

In regards to the yoga pants, Saxton said:

“One street preacher said, you know, if you dress like it, you act like it, different things like that, you’re asking for it. Therefore, you deserve rape. And his last three words I felt like were nice, and I decided to put them on a sign, and go to the event.”

These events are by far not the only incidents of the “rape culture” we deal with. Many people in the religious right blame women for their own sexual assaults. Ann Coulter said that women who cry rape are just:

“…girls trying to get attention.”

She is not the only right wing nut job preaching this rape culture. Rush Limbaugh went on a rant about this topic. Here is a sample of his disgusting rhetoric:

“How many of you guys, in your own experience with women, have learned that ‘no’ means ‘yes’ if you know how to spot it? I’m probably … let me tell you something, in this modern w…that is simply, that’s not not tolerated. People aren’t even going to try to understand that one. But it used to be said it was a cliche. It used to be part of the advice young boys were given.”

Hopefully, Limbaugh will lose his contract soon.

Many women are blamed for what they were wearing when they were attacked. They are told that they were asking for it for wearing a short skirt or a low-cut top. One student made an art exhibit out of the clothes women were wearing when they were attacked.

It just shows that women are never asking for it.

This preacher and everyone else who blames women for their assaults need to stop. It is disgusting, misogynistic hate speech.

This is the video of the preacher and the attack. The attack happens around the 17-minute mark.
