Ann Coulter: Women Crying Sexual Assault Just ‘Girls Trying To Get Attention’

In an interview with the?Lars Larson Show,?conservative darling Ann Coulter continues to show the world why she is a pathetic excuse for?a?woman and well…..human being.

She goes on a rant about rape, saying that most women who cry rape are “girls trying to get attention.” She says that there is not a campus rape problem and cites the UVA rape case to back this up. As an ivy-league graduate, one has to wonder if Coulter is serious with the things she says. Everybody knows that statistics matter and one story or occurrence doesn’t prove or disprove anything. That is Statistics 101.

But to Ann and the idiotic specimens that share this same opinion, here is some information they might find interesting. About 293,000 people (only over the age of 12) are victims of sexual assault a year. However, 68% of assaults are not reported to the police. One out of every six women has experienced an attempted or completed rape. We aren’t talking mild fondling here. We are talking?rape. One in five women in college is assaulted. As someone who went to a large public university, I can say that almost everyone I knew had been sexually assaulted in some way at some point in their lives. I personally knew a girl who had been assaulted by her uncle. Another one of my friends had been raped by five men in one night. I have countless other stories. I guess this isn’t enough for those like Ann Coulter though?

Coulter goes on to say that “unless the victim is hit on the head with a brick” then it isn’t rape. What if it was a shovel and not a brick? Regardless, this is obviously one of the most?idiotic?things I have ever heard. To hear it come from a woman is utterly astounding. Even if we discount the fact that many women are too incoherent to consent to rape (either by drugs or alcohol), that some are unknowingly slipped drugs, and that more are too afraid to fight back, 34% of victims sexually assaulted in college were still physically forced into an assault. But again, I guess Ann wouldn’t believe we had a problem unless that percentage was more around 90 or maybe if one out of two women was assaulted in their lifetime instead of 1 in 5.

While?we can go on and on about how rare false allegations of rape are, people like Ann just seem to not get it. In fact, studies have shown that men are more likely to be the victims of sexual assault than to be falsely accused of them. According to Buzzfeed, one in 33 men will be assaulted, which makes the likelihood of them being victims of an attack 82,000 times more likely than being falsely accused. What does Ann think of those truths? In typical crazy fashion, Coulter tries to blame liberals for falsifying a crisis. Because their ‘War on Christmas’ is so legit? No. She literally says that liberal men are more likely to commit rape – men such as “the Clintons and the Kennedys.” Ok, I’m lost. Does she have stats on the breakdown of rapists by political party? If so, I would like to see it. This is the same egregious political toying with the American people that I disdain.

Ann goes on?to attack people by name like Lady Gaga. Gaga?recently admitted she was raped when she was just starting in the industry. She dismissed Gaga’s claim because Gaga said she couldn’t admit it to herself for five years. She doesn’t understand how if a serious crime were committed why it would take so long for someone to admit it. This is why education is so vital.

These people are just too plain stupid (or ignorant) to understand the psychology and neuro-biology of survivors. Let me give you doubters some insight.

  • Most victims don’t want anyone to know.

It is reprehensible that Ann says things like “…they just want attention” when in fact, time after time, we?know?that having endured a sexual assault is NOT something people want to be known for. It is not a prize. You don’t receive a gift. It is utterly shaming.

  • While perpetrators are often confused as to what rape is (not excusing them) many victims do not understand what consent/rape is either.

This means victims don’t technically know if they have been taken advantage of or not. This could explain people like Lady Gaga’s personal struggles with admitting it to herself. We don’t know fully.

  • Victims are afraid that people (the police, their schools, etc) flat out won’t believe them.

So Ann Coulter and the despicable people who share these same sentiments on rape need a huge lesson in reality. The complete lunacy spewing from Ann’s mouth in this interview should not be tolerated. She should be outcast from society, and I mean that. Just as Holocaust-deniers do not get taken seriously at all, neither should those who deny the problem of rape and sexual assault in our culture. While rapes have?gone down from where they were around the turn of the century, we still have a problem.

The media needs to ask these imbeciles what would constitute as a problem? Do they simply think the stats are wrong? Or do they think that 1 in 5 women in the nation being assaulted within their lifetime is too low? I personally think that 1 in 5 women is crazy scary and saddening for our nation. But maybe these dimwits disagree.
