Rush Limbaugh May Be Losing His Contract

Rejoice, my fellow democrats! The hate-mongering radio host, Rush Limbaugh, is losing his contract. We can delight in having one less bigoted a-hole on the radio!

He is known for saying some pretty nasty things about women and other groups. For example, he said in 2014 about the opening of a women’s history museum:

“We already have, ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know how many museums for women all over the country. They are called malls.”

He had this HORRIDLY disgusting quote about abortion. It seemed to be one of his pet topics:

“You know how to stop abortion? Require that each one occur with a gun.”

Here is a doozy of a quote from 2011 to show that he doesn’t just hate on women. He also hates on science:

“Obama is a clown. You don’t have to be a scientist to know that the President doesn’t know what he’s talking about when he says fossil fuels are the energy of the past. We have more oil than we need. We’ll never run out of it. It’s all we’ve got.”

The radio host had something particularly cruel to say about gay people as well:

“When a gay person turns his back on you, it is anything but an insult; it’s an invitation.”

The host also had this to say last year about Syrian refugees. He is blaming Obama for ISIS:

“Look, I have friends who are Syrians. I play golf with them, they’re great people. This is not about that, it’s not about bigotry or racism or anti-ethnics or against certain nationalities. It’s about the defense and protection of the United States of America and our Constitution, which is what is the primary job of the president of the United States.”

“I have friends who are Syrians.” Where have we heard this kind of reasoning before? Oh yeah! Racists who say “I have black friends.”

He signed an eight year contract back in 2008. He got a whopping $400 million deal for it. The stock in IHeartRadio has dropped A LOT since 2008 though; its gone from $39 to a tiny $1.15. Many blame Limbaugh for this because of his extremist rants. He may end up creating his own podcast, but let’s hope he doesn’t.
