WATCH: ‘Fox & Friends’ Believe Trump NAILED His Charlottesville Comments

After President Donald Trump failed to condemn neo-Nazis, the KKK, white nationalists, white supremacists, or any of the other racist groups involved in the horrible violence over the weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia, critics and politicians on both sides were quick to call him out. Luckily for our commander-in-chief, one group still has his back.

The crew at Fox & Friends.

Even though there was blowback from both sides of the aisle after Trump failed to place blame for the violence on white supremacists, the Fox & Friends crew stood behind him. Host Pete Hegseth incredulously stated:

To the critics, I say: could he have said it any stronger or any better? I mean, condemning in the strongest possible terms hatred and bigotry on both sides, rather than cherry-picking. Recognizing that racism and violence is never acceptable. He saluted the police throughout the speech, and then he talked about country and flag.”

Hegseth then noted that they had former Governor Mike Huckabee on the program, which I guess… helped solidify his point?

The point is not what Trump said in his speech. The point is what he did not say. By claiming this was more like a disagreement between ideologies rather than a group of violent racists attacking counter-protesters, Trump has made it clear that he wanted the support of those fringe, violent groups. Racists like David Duke continually claim that Trump is a validation of their cause.

And the flags that Hegseth brought up? At the violent rally in Charlottesville, I saw more Nazi and Confederate flags than American flags.

The Governor of Charlottesville himself, Mike Signer, placed blame for the violence in his city on Donald Trump. We should not be surprised that the house that Roger Ailes built refuses to do so. You can watch the doublethink going on at Fox & Friends below:
