WATCH: Late Show Host Stephen Colbert To Conspiracy Theorists: ‘Grow The F**k Up’

Stephen Colbert, host of CBS’s The Late Show, has been no stranger to criticizing President-elect Donald Trump and the legion of crazy that he has inspired. On last night’s episode of The Late Show, Colbert addressed conspiracy theorists with a ten minute dressing-down, including trolls on Reddit, Alex Jones, and WikiLeaks, culminating with him ordering them to “Grow the fuck up.”

Colbert got on the topic because of the recent focus on fake news due to the “PizzaGate” shooter. He addresses some of the ways the conspiracy immediately falls apart, with gems like:

“Now, according to the folks with the spider eggs hatching in their brains, [Hillary] Clinton and [John] Podesta have a series of smuggling tunnels that connect to the basement of this pizzeria. But police refuse to investigate the basement crime scene on the flimsy excuse that the pizzeria does not have a basement. That’s how deep this goes!”

Colbert also takes a moment to go after Trump’s pick for National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn:

“[Flynn] tweeted out a link, writing ‘New Hillary Emails: Money Laundering, Sex Crimes w Children, etc… MUST READ,’ introducing it ‘U decide.’ OK, then I decide a guy who spreads this bullshit shouldn’t be in charge of national security.”

The Trump campaign recently fired Flynn’s son for tweeting about PizzaGate. Somehow, Flynn himself is still Trump’s pick for National Security Advisor.

Apparently, Colbert has also been lumped into this scandal, with conspiracy theory peddler Alex Jones, the radio show host and leader of InfoWars, recently ranting about Colbert being “on the Clinton payroll.” Colbert then directed his strongest words yet to Jones a*nd the people who believe these insane theories:

“Here’s what these conspiracy theorists don’t get: there’s a difference between a conspiracy and an agreement… A conspiracy is what villains do. An agreement is what adults do… So Wikileaks, Alex Jones, and these subreddit sub-geniuses, and I mean this in the nicest way possible: Grow the fuck up.”

Bravo, Mr. Colbert. Keep fighting the fight. Watch the entire segment below:
