‘It’s Not My Campaign’ – Chris Christie Tries To Wriggle Out From Under Trump (VIDEO)

During the primaries, we had a clown car of Republican presidential candidates. One member of this sh*t show was New Jersey’s Governor Chris Christie.

After he lost, he became a supporter of the now Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, and has served as an advisor during Trump’s campaign. Now, Gov. Christie is distancing himself from the Donald Trump.

In an NBC News interview, Christie said:

“The person who needs most to be concerned about the kind of campaign they’re running is the candidate. Because it’s the candidate’s campaign. It’s not my campaign.”

When asked about the 2005 Access Hollywood audio, Christie said:

“It is completely indefensible. I won’t defend it and haven’t defended it. That kind of talk and conversation, even in private, is just unacceptable.”

“For me, this is just stuff that you can’t be involved in and shouldn’t even be thinking.”

‘He’s got 11 years of history since then. He’s had the last 18 months or so that he’s been running for president and the issues he’s been talking about,’ Christie added. ‘And by the way, this is a race with another person and you have to evaluate her as well and her conduct and all the rest.'”

Christie was one of the first to endorse Trump, after he dropped out of the race in February. He may be vying for cabinet position in the a Trump Administration.

Chris Christie has his own problems in his state. He voted against equal pay for women earlier this year. He vetoed a bill that would’ve made companies pay women the same amount as men.

He is still dealing with the bridge scandal as well, and could be facing corruption charges. Maybe he should walk away from Trump and deal with that.

Christie should’ve quit being Trump’s lapdog sooner, but at least he claims to be backing off of the Trump support for now.

Here is Christie talking about the leaked Trump audio:
