WATCH: Trump’s Doctor May Be A Little Kooky But His Wife Is A Freakin’ Badass

By now you have probably heard about the letter that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has shown to the press. The letter that supposedly tells us just how fabulously healthy the candidate really is.

The famous letter was called into question almost immediately by most of the medical profession. CNN’s Sanjay Gupta had some serious concerns about the letter, including the fact that it said that all of Mr. Trump’s test results were “positive.”

There were concerns raised about the unusual hyperbole of the letter, too, in which the doctor claimed:

“If elected, Mr Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”

Um. OK. Given the fact that this doctor didn’t actually examine George Washington, that seems strange.

Still, the doctor who wrote the letter is apparently an actual practicing physician. His name is Dr. Harold Bornstein and he is a gastroenterologist in New York City.

After the strange letter was brought to light, Dr. Bornstein came under a boatload of scrutiny. When he admitted that he had written the letter in five minutes flat, he came under even more.

A few days ago, CNN decided to interview Dr. Bornstein, to give him a chance to defend himself against the accusations that he’s a charlatan, a fake doctor, and a Trump minion.

The interview took place on a bench outside of the doctor’s office. As Bornstein reluctantly agreed to be interviewed, he warned that his wife would not be quite so accommodating when she returned.

The CNN reporter spoke to the doctor, finding him honest, competent and soft spoken. He claimed that he had no regrets about writing the letter for Trump, saying that he firmly believes Trump is physically qualified to be President.

When the CNN staff asked him why he wrote the letter, and whether it was a joke, he said:

” I was rushed for time. I had people to see.”

He went on to explain that his mother had “found” Donald Trump as a patient, when the Trump’s lived across the street. He said that Trump “stayed for 30 years.”

Suddenly, as the doctor had warned, his wife arrived at the site of the ongoing interview.

The woman didn’t miss a beat. She marched right up to her husband and the tv crew. The video shows a hand clamping over the camera lens. A woman’s voice says, in a distinct New York accent,

“We’re done. We’re done. I’m calling the police.”

Dr. Bornstein’s wife reaches in to take his hand, and pulls him to his feet despite his feeble protests. She keeps repeating her threat of calling the police, telling the news crew (and her husband) that they are on private property.

The interview ends, as you’ll see in the video, with the news crew thanking the Doctor for his time and the wife dragging him behind closed doors.

Call me crazy, but I think she’s awesome. If only her husband had had the good sense to be that assertive when the candidate asked for the ridiculous letter.

She is a warrior woman, and I salute her.

Next question for the media: Why would anyone need a gastroenterologist for 30 years?

Here is the interview, for your viewing pleasure.
