Have you ever been to see a physician? You know how they run all those tests on you? Don’t you always hope the tests will come back negative?
Negative medical tests mean that you don’t have the nasty disease the doctor was testing for. So if you get tested for hepatitis, you want it to come out negative. If you have a positive medical test, you’re sick.
Everyone knows that.
Everyone except for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his physician.

RawStory reports that CNN’s own Sanja Gupta understands what positive medical tests mean. He should. He’s a doctor.
Dr. Gupta was on CNN with Ashleigh Banfield, and was asked to comment on the hilariously ridiculous letter that the Trump campaign claims was written by the candidate’s personal physician. Gupta was incredulous as he looked at the letter. He said:
“Whether you’re a doctor or not, that degree of hyperbole and these types of words being used is very unusual. People don’t write like that, that this is ‘the healthiest ever.’ First of all, they couldn’t substantiate [that]. How do you know that someone is the healthiest ever?”
Dr. Gupta also pointed out the obvious stupidity of any supposed doctor claiming that his patient had only “positive” results. If that were really the case, Donald Trump would definitely be one pretty sick guy.
Then he turned to the wording in the suspicious letter. Trump’s so-called doctor wrote all about his patient’s “test scores.” Dr. Gupta put it this way:
“Calling things ‘test scores’ instead of results — his PSA ‘test score’ was this, as if it was the SAT exam instead of a blood test. It’s a strange letter that’s absurd to look at it on face value.”
This whole thing would be worth a big laugh if we were talking about some guy trying to get a job at a factory. The fact that Donald J. Trump honestly thinks we’re stupid enough to fall for such a childish trick makes it far less funny.
It makes it pretty damn scary.
I’d bet that one “test” that would have come out “positive” for Trump would be a test of whether or not he’s completely delusional.
