Earlier this week, Ted Nugent, who just so happens to be a board member for the National Rifle Association (NRA), crawled out of the rathlole he resides in and posted this bit of venom on social media:
You will no doubt notice the Israeli flags by each of these photos. That’s because all of the people pictured just so happen to be Jewish, so not only is Nugent trying to stir up hatred among American ammosexuals, he’s also engaging in some of the most horrific anti-Semitism seen in this country in quite some time.
But Ted Nugent is not the only person with the first name of Ted who is dripping with the slime from the Nugent post. As Rachel Maddow pointed out on her show last night, so is 2016 GOP candidate Ted Cruz. How so? Well, let’s explore that link.
On Cruz’s campaign website there is a picture of the candidate with Gonzo Ted Nugent and this message:
“TED NUGENT SAYS TED CRUZ IS HIS FAVORITE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE.”
Now as Maddow rightly noted, no candidate gets to choose who endorses them:
“Nobody is responsible for their own endorsers. Nobody can be held accountable for the thoughts and actions of people who like them. You can’t control who likes you!”
However, every candidate gets to decide who they display on their website. If you put a person’s name and image up and proudly tout their endorsement, then you are saying you agree with the ideas espoused by the endorser.
Maddow, referring to the Nugent endorsement which Cruz was so eager to trumpet on his official campaign website, looked directly into the camera and had a message for Ted Cruz:
“You do kind of own this.”
Ted Cruz, as we all have known for years now, is a slimeball who will do or say anything to advance his career or achieve higher office. And now we know that he’s also, at least by association, an anti-Semitic dirtball who belongs in the same category as Ted Nugent, David Duke, and every member of the KKK and the neo-Nazi movement.
In other words, Ted Cruz just disqualified himself from ever being President of the United States, and it has nothing to do with where he was born.
