Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has finally admitted that when he tweeted a threat to now former FBI Director, James Comey, it was all pure BS. He was making crap up, as he so often does.
James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!

The tweet was threatening, there’s no doubt about that. Because Trump sent that tweet, implying that he had in fact taped his discussions with Comey, the former FBI director shared his own memos of the interaction with a friend. That friend sent them to the press. Because Trump threatened Comey with the tweet, Comey felt that he had no choice but to get his story out.
For the past six weeks, the press has continually pushed the Trump administration to clear up the vague threat. Did the President make tapes, or didn’t he?
Trump refused to answer. He could have simply said, “Yep, I have them.” or “No. I was just blowing smoke.” But he put his answer off, over and over again.
Press Secretary Sean Spicer refused to answer. Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to answer. Various talking head surrogates refused to answer.
The Secret Service was honest enough to tell the public that they didn’t have any top secret recording devices in the Oval Office. But the President allowed the question to fester. He allowed the whole country to talk about whether or not he himself secretly recording people on his phone.
Today, a full six weeks after sending the ominous tweet, Trump has finally answered the question.
On Twitter.
With all of the recently reported electronic surveillance, intercepts, unmasking and illegal leaking of information, I have no idea…

…whether there are "tapes" or recordings of my conversations with James Comey, but I did not make, and do not have, any such recordings.

So there you have it. Trump seems to be saying that he suspects some of his imaginary enemies might have bugged his office and recorded his meetings with FBI Director Comey.
And he says this in spite of the fact that he was the one who threatened to reveal secret tapes.
If this isn’t evidence that the man in charge is delusional, dishonest and obviously paranoid, I don’t know what is.
We can only hope that this latest bit of insanity takes us one step closer to either impeachment or the use of the 25th Amendment. Check out this video for more on the infamous “Comey tapes” (after the jump):
