Clueless Trump: My Trips To My Golf Clubs ‘Cost Almost Nothing’ (VIDEO)

President Donald Trump, who frequently criticized his predecessor Barack Obama for golfing too much, is starting to feel the pressure from people claiming he is a hypocrite for how much time he has spent golfing. His argument against his critics is this: since he is golfing only at his own golf resorts, they cost the American taxpayer “almost nothing.”

He told Fox News:

“I have a lot of property. So if I go to my clubs like in New Jersey, they’ll say, ‘Oh he is going to play golf.’ I am not going to play golf. I couldn’t care less about golf. … But I have a place there that costs almost nothing because it’s hundreds of acres and security and they don’t have to close up streets.”

Trump also added that he feels bad about returning to Trump Tower in New York City because he feels guilty about the costs for security. This comes despite the fact that he tends to spend so much time at his Mar-a-Lago resort that the Secret Service had to ask for an increased budget to cope with the cost.

That request was denied. Trump then attempted to an appeal so that people stop picking on him:

“It would be much better if people would understand that I could go other places that I have. But then they hit me for relaxing. And I don’t want to be known as a person that relaxes because I am working hard and I am working hard for the people.”

Trump’s hypocrisy obviously knows no bounds. The New York Times reports that Trump has already visited his golf clubs nineteen times during his presidency. He has also visited his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida twenty-five times. Here’s a compilation of the many times Trump criticized Obama’s golf habits during the campaign:
