Steve Bannon Says Mueller Is About To ‘Crack Don Jr. Like An Egg’

Apparently former White House political strategist doesn’t think too much of Donald Trump Jr., who is one of the central figures in the Russia investigation being conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Based on an excerpt from journalist Michael Wolff’s upcoming book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, Bannon is already predicting that Don Jr. is easy pickings for Mueller, commenting:

“They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV.”

In particular, Bannon noted that he thinks Mueller’s will focus on alleged money laundering operations that may have been conducted at Trump properties around the globe.

Bannon also slammed Junior for agreeing to meet at Trump Tower with a Russian attorney and other Russian operatives who said they had dirt on Hillary Clinton:

“Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad shit, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately. But that’s the brain trust that they had.”

If indeed Junior was involved in money laundering and conspiring with Russia to swing the election in his father’s favor, he’s looking at decades behind bars unless he agrees to tell everything he knows about the president’s involvement and testify against him in open court. No matter how this all ends, it doesn’t appear it will end well for Donald Trump Jr.
