Roy Moore: Scrapping Amendments After The 10th Would ‘Eliminate Many Problems’

Roy Moore’s idiocracy appears to have no bounds. From refusing to take down a 10 Commandments Plaque in a state building, to stating that America was great before slavery ended, Roy Moore doesn’t leave much to the imagination as he spews rhetorical garbage on the daily. Remind you of anyone? (Cough — Trumpanzees — Cough.)

In 2011, Roy Moore said the following in an interview with “Aroostook Watchman” (via The Hill):

“That would eliminate many problems,” Moore said in response to the host, according to the audio KFile unearthed. “You know people don’t understand how some of these amendments have completely tried to wreck the form of government that our forefathers intended,” he continued.

“Wow” may be the casual political observer’s reaction, but this is a common sentiment for small state conservatives. Just last year, conservatives attempted to revise America’s stained history involving slavery by whitewashing it with small-state technicalities, such as the Tariff Crisis. (Even though the Tariff Crisis was resolved years before the Civil War.)

Furthermore, there are Republicans who loathe Abraham Lincoln’s big government actions, such as implementing a blockade against the South, but still attempt to conflate mid-19th-century Republicanism with the contemporary GOP. A major stretch of course.

But back to Roy Moore. His statements regarding the US Consitution can be corroborated with his take on slavery. If you review Amendments after 10 in a negative light, then, I’m sorry to say, you’re probably a racist bigot.

Roy Moore obviously needs an in-depth history lesson:

1) 13th Amendment – Abolished slavery throughout the Union.
2) 14th Amendment – All men have “Equal Protection” before the law.
3) 15th Amendment –  Voting rights cannot be denied by the states or federal government.

All in all, it’s simply appalling that Roy Moore is even a viable candidate in this country. However, due to the election of Trump, white nationalist, whether outed or not, have surely become emboldened.
