WATCH Chris Cuomo Destroy A Breitbart Editor Who Excuses Roy Moore’s Actions With Song Lyrics

Defenders of Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore have twisted themselves in knots trying to defend a man accused of sexual assault and child molestation, so perhaps it should come as no surprise that now they’re even using the lyrics of songs as an excuse for Moore.

On CNN Monday morning, Breitbart editor Joel Pollak told host Chris Cuomo:

“You know, in 1973, Ringo Starr hit number one on the Billboard charts with a song ‘You’re 16 and You’re Beautiful in Your Mine.’ He was 30-something at the time, singing about a 16-year-old. Do we want to take away Ringo Starr’s –”

Cuomo cut off Pollak to interject:

“You can’t be serious. You can’t be serious.

“You think that Ringo Starr’s song is supposed to be a nod toward allowing 30-year-old men to prey on teenagers? You don’t believe that, Joel. You’re a parent, you don’t believe that.”

Pollak then attempted to shift the debate and say that women who have accused Moore of being a pervert are merely “lumping together” illegal acts with legal conduct. But since when has it been legal for grown men to pursue and then try to seduce 14-year-old girls the way Moore allegedly did with Leigh Corfman?

Moore was also banned from a shopping mall in Gadsden, Alabama, because he repeatedly harassed young teenage girls.

To say that Roy Moore is no worse than the lyrics of a song is not only offensive to anyone with a functioning brain, it’s also a blatant attempt to normalize behavior that should bar Moore from office and render him an outcast from decent society.
