Latest Details From Russia Investigation Prove Mueller Is Closing In On Trump

Two weeks ago, Paul Manafort and Rick Gates were indicted and surrendered to the FBI. Both are under house arrest and Manafort is required to wear an electronic monitoring device.

But, two weeks later, many are wondering not only when the next indictments will be unsealed, but also if Special Counsel Robert Mueller is any closer to proving that President Trump was also part of the larger conspiracy to cooperate with Russia in exchange for their help getting Trump elected.

However, thanks to a new report from Reuters, it looks like Trump is indeed the focus of the Russia probe, and that Mueller is on the verge of indicting the president, too.

You may recall that top Trump campaign aide Sam Clovis appeared before a federal grand jury a few weeks ago to give testimony. Reuters tells us that Mueller directly asked Clovis if Trump was aware of the campaign’s collusion and coordination with Russia. And what that tells us is very bad news for the president.

Reuters reports:

  • Clovis is fully and freely cooperating with the Mueller investigation.
  • Mueller is moving closer to proving that Trump himself was aware of and approved of collusion with Russia to guarantee he won the election.

Before the Reuters report broke Saturday, many legal experts had said Mueller was probably building a case of obstruction of justice against Trump. Now, however, it looks like a much more serious charge is in play for Trump: Conspiracy against the United States, one of the same charges in the indictments of Manafort and Gates. And that alone would be adequate for articles of impeachment to be drawn up against the president. Coupled with obstruction of justice, a case could be made that Trump actively engaged in treason as he sought to guarantee he was elected to the White House.

Given this new information, Trump might want to consider staying in Asia or jetting to some country that doesn’t have an extradition treaty with the United States.
