BOMBSHELL: Carter Page Confirms Portions Of The ‘Pee Tape’ Dossier

Late Monday evening, the House Intelligence Committee released the full transcript of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page’s testimony. In it, Page seems to have confirmed some of the details found in the infamous dossier compiled by British intelligence agent Christopher Steele.

In his rambling testimony, which stretches for over 240 pages when transcribed, Page admitted that he did indeed meet with Russian business and government leaders as part of his work for the 2016 Trump campaign, according to a report from Business Insider:

“Page revealed during his testimony that he met with both members of Russia’s presidential administration and with the head of investor relations at the state-owned Russian oil giant Rosneft during his trip to Moscow last July.

“He also congratulated members of the Trump campaign’s foreign policy team on July 14 for their ‘excellent work’ on the ‘Ukraine amendment’ — a reference to the Trump campaign’s decision to ‘intervene’ to water down a proposed amendment to the GOP’s Ukraine platform.”

Other confirmation of the Steele dossier came to light when Page was questioned by Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA):

“Former British spy Christopher Steele wrote in the dossier that an ‘official close to Presidential Administration Head, S. IVANOV, confided in a compatriot that a senior colleague in the Internal Political Department of the PA, DIVYEKIN (nfd) also had met secretly with PAGE on his recent visit.’

“According to that official in the dossier, Diveykin told Page that the Kremlin had a dossier of kompromat on Hillary Clinton that they wanted to give to the Trump campaign.”

The Steele dossier also alleged that Russia had kompromat (compromising information) on Trump which may have included both financial and sexual material that could be used to guarantee Trump did as told by the highest levels of the Russian government if elected.

The Page testimony is just the latest piece of the puzzle to be revealed over the past several days. Other developments include:

  • The indictment of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Manafort’s business partner, Rick Gates.
  • A guilty plea by former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos, who is also actively cooperating with the investigation being conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
  • The revelation that at least nine members of Trump’s 2016 campaign had contact with Russians despite their denials of such meetings.

Despite all of this information, Trump maintains he has done nothing wrong, telling Sharyl Atkisson of Sinclair Broadcast Group:

“Well I hope [Mueller’s] treating everything fairly and if he is I’m going to be very happy because when you talk about innocent, I am truly not involved in any form of collusion with Russia. Believe me. The last thing I can think of to be involved in.”
