Appearing on Good Morning America Tuesday, Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) once again criticized President Trump, commenting:
When you look at the fact that we’ve got this issue in North Korea and the president continues to kneecap his diplomatic representative, the secretary of state, and really move him away from successful diplomatic negotiations with China, which is key to this, you’re taking us on a path to combat,” Corker told ABC’s “Good Morning America.”“The president undermines our secretary of state [and] raises tensions in the area by virtue of the tweets that he sends out.”
Trump, again proving that he has the temperament and self-control of a child, fired back at Corker on Twitter:
Bob Corker, who helped President O give us the bad Iran Deal & couldn't get elected dog catcher in Tennessee, is now fighting Tax Cuts….

…Corker dropped out of the race in Tennesse when I refused to endorse him, and now is only negative on anything Trump. Look at his record!

Corker, however, was more than equal to the task:
Same untruths from an utterly untruthful president. #AlertTheDaycareStaff

Isn't it sad that lightweight Senator Bob Corker, who couldn't get re-elected in the Great State of Tennessee, will now fight Tax Cuts plus!

Not long after that tweet, Corker was asked by a reporter on Capitol Hill for a response. Corker had this to say:
“The president has great difficulty with the truth. He is purposely breaking down relationships we have around the world that had been useful to our nation.
“I think the debasement of our nation is what he’ll be remembered most for.”
Now if only more GOP Senators would grow a spine and join Bob Corker in speaking truth to power.
