Conspiracy-Obsessed Infowars Calls Vegas Shootings A ‘False Flag,’ Warns Of ‘New Civil War’ (VIDEO)

Within hours of the horrific mass shooting on the famed Las Vegas strip, far right “news” outlet Infowars (home of the perpetually unhinged Alex Jones), was declaring the deaths of at least 58 people and wounding of over 500 to be a so-called “false flag” being perpetuated by anti-gun forces who are attempting to foment a second civil war in the United States.

Host David Knight began his morning broadcast with this ominous warning:

“As we look at the 100 year anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution and as we talk about last week. Talking about multiple groups saying, ‘It’s coming Nov. 4. We have a new civil war that is coming to overthrow the government.’ Talking about how these Antifa communists are training with weapons, etc. So, there was a lot of stuff that was on the horizon.”

Knight then started circulating the Conspiracy Theory Du Jour:

“We have to wake up to what is happening here because 100 years after the Bolshevik Revolution, now we’re going to have a bull crap revolution that is going to be happening here. It is the crap that is being fed to us by these Marxists. And this is something that you have to understand as we see this.”

The real reason for the attack, Knight asserted, was to hold off legislation which would further loosen federal restrictions on the possession of guns:

“We had a massive rollback working its way through the Republican Congress, a massive rollback on a lot of gun control regulations. And this [shooting], I believe, when we see these types of events — interesting, isn’t it that there’s always kind of coincidental alignment as the Democrats have some kind of a legislative agenda that could want to run through.”

Finally, Knight blamed Congressional Democrats for the shooting, even though just minutes before he had said it never happened in the first place:

“Now we have some massive legislation that is working its way through a Republican Congress and we have the largest shooting. Maybe it’s just a coincidence. Maybe it’s just serendipity for those who want gun control. But I am a bit more skeptical of these things.”

What everyone should be especially skeptical of is any “news” that comes from Infowars or any of its inane talking heads.
