Floyd Mayweather Respects And Admires ‘Real Man’ Trump For ‘Grabbing By The Pu**y’ (VIDEO/TWEETS)

In a sane world, Donald Trump’s presidential campaign should have ended last October with the release of raw audio from a 2005 appearance on “Access Hollywood.” In case you missed it, Trump bragged to host Billy Bush that he could “do anything” he wanted to women because of his celebrity status–even “grab ’em by the p*ssy.”

Any political party with any shred of decency would have thrown any candidate who said something that degrading overboard–even if it was just a month before the election. But what passed for leadership in the GOP didn’t do so. And the nation’s so-called moral guardians–like Ralph Reed, Pat Robertson, Rick Joyner, Lance Wallnau, and Franklin Graham, among others–claimed that as debauched as those remarks were, they didn’t matter as much as ending abortion and rolling back marriage equality.

Well, late Wednesday, the religious right and what passes for leadership in the GOP found themselves in some rather unwelcome company. It turns out that retired boxing champion Floyd Mayweather also thinks Trump’s comments were just peachy. But he didn’t try to put a political spin on them. Nope– Mayweather thinks Trump was just being a man.

Mayweather dropped by “Hollywood Unlocked” for an interview a week after his one-fight comeback, a win against MMA champion Conor MacGregor that ran his record to 50-0. Part one rolled out on Monday, with part two coming on Wednesday. The conversation soon turned to Mayweather’s close friendship with Trump. Watch a clip here.

Mayweather dropped by Trump Tower soon after Trump’s upset win, and their relationship has remained fairly close since then; Mayweather attended Trump’s inauguration in order to return the favor for Trump attending his 2015 bout with Manny Pacquiao.

When asked about the “Access Hollywood” tape, Mayweather had this to say.

“He speak like a real man spoke. Real men speak like, ‘Man, she had a fat ass. You see her ass? I had to squeeze her ass. I had to grab that fat ass.’ Right?”

You would have thought hosts Jason Lee, GioVanni Watson, and Claudia Jordan would have shut this down right there. Nope. When Watson recalled that Trump and Bush were talking privately about groping women, Mayweather kept digging.

“So he talking locker room talk. Locker room talk. You know what I’m saying? ‘I’m the man, you know what I’m saying. You know who I am. Yeah, I grabbed her by the pussy? And?”

No, Floyd. Real men don’t talk this way. At least, no real men that I know. If Mayweather talked that way in my house, I wouldn’t have cared if he was a five-time champion–I would have thrown him out so fast it would have made his head spin. And nearly every guy I know–liberal or conservative, Democratic and Republican–would do the same thing. It’s especially outrageous considering that you’ve been convicted two times and pleaded guilty once to hitting women.

Almost as outrageous was how the team at “Hollywood Unlocked” reacted. If they’d had anything at all in them, they would have ended the interview and booted Mayweather out of the studio. But they kept right on going. Disgraceful.

Neither Mayweather nor “Hollywood Unlocked” have had anything to say about this, but the Twitterverse certainly has had a lot to say.

This just underscores how outrageous it was that Trump wasn’t run out of the race on a rail after those remarks. What then-GOP chairman Reince Priebus and the religious right effectively did was tell every little boy and young man in this country that they can degrade women, revel in it, and get away with it. And they also gave people like Mayweather license to excuse such degrading behavior.

Mayweather may think he’s a real man. But he proved beyond any doubt that, just like Trump, he’s actually a #SoCalledMan. Tell Mayweather what you think about his debauched line on Facebook and on Twitter. And let “Hollywood Unlocked” have it for letting Mayweather go on that rant on Facebook and on Twitter.
