Wait Until You Hear What White House Aides Call Ivanka Trump Behind Her Back

Even though she has absolutely no experience when it comes to government, Ivanka Trump is reportedly one of her father’s closest aides.




How, you may wonder, do others in the White House view the First Daughter, especially given her unparalleled access to the president and ability to speak with him whenever she wants? A new article in Vanity Fair suggests that many White House aides don’t exactly have a favorable opinion of Ivanka.

Sarah Ellison, who wrote the Vanity Fair piece, notes that Ivanka’s sitting in for her daddy at the G-20 summit is what set tongues to wagging among staffers at the White House:

“[Trump] asked [his daughter] to briefly take his place at the conference table between Prime Minister May and the Chinese president, Xi Jinping. It’s not abnormal for a delegate to take the seat of a world leader at such an event, as Angela Merkel would later note. But when a conference aide tweeted a photo of Ivanka at the table, Twitter reacted with disdain at the clear nepotism, a response Ivanka must be getting used to. ‘This is strange,’ noted Michael McFaul, the U.S. ambassador to Russia under Barack Obama. ‘Very strange.’ Even among some Trump loyalists, the breach of protocol was too much. ‘Excuse me,’ said one former Trump adviser. ‘This is not a royal family, and she’s not the princess royal.’”

And pretty soon, the term “princess royal” stuck:

“In fact, ‘princess royal’ is a term that some West Wing advisers apply to her, though never to her face.”

Though it may not be as snarky as you were expecting, “princess royal” is incredibly appropriate. Donald Trump does tend to run his administration like the czars of old Russia, placing his family in key positions around him because he cannot seem to trust anyone else. Wonder how the princess will react when daddy is exposed as the traitor we all suspect him of being.
