Sebastian Gorka Is Out–The Reason Will Make You Split With Laughter (AUDIO)

The news from the White House wasn’t all bad on Friday. Hours after Donald Trump pardoned Joe Arpaio, word got out that White House counterrorism adviser and raving Islamophobe Sebastian Gorka had jumped ship. Apparently, he believes this White House is on the verge of going soft.

Gorka was one of the most loathsome characters in a White House full of them. He claims that Islam is inherently violent–an argument that almost no legitimate scholar on either side of the aisle believes. He has let it be known that any even remotely critical coverage of Trump is fake news. He has documented ties to racist and anti-Semitic groups in his native Hungary.

There are also serious questions about his credentials. He does not speak Arabic, has only read the Qu’ran in English translation, and his doctorate is almost certainly bogus. That’s about the only way you can explain a terrorism expert suggesting that right-wing terrorism doesn’t really exist. But don’t bother calling him on it–you might get an irate call in the middle of the night, as an actual terrorism expert got in February.

There had been talk as early as April that Gorka had become too toxic even for this White House. But that talk got considerably louder when Steve Bannon was pushed out as chief strategist. Reportedly, White House chief of staff John Kelly was determined to clear out alt-right influence from the West Wing. Matters apparently came to a head on Friday, according to Yahoo News. While Gorka was on vacation, Kelly called him to say that his security clearance had been revoked.

Hours later, Gorka offered his resignation. The Federalist obtained a copy. In it, Gorka claimed that “forces that do not support the MAGA promise”–an obvious swipe at Kelly–had gained the upper hand in the White House. To Gorka’s mind, any doubt of this was erased with Trump’s speech on Afghanistan. Gorka was not pleased that “any mention of Radical Islam or radical Islamic terrorism” had been deleted–a sign that “a crucial element of your presidential campaign has been lost.”

Gorka didn’t remain silent for long. He appeared on SiriusXM’s “Breitbart News Saturday” to discuss his departure. Listen here.

Gorka told host Matthew Boyle that he believed “the forces of MAGA, the Make America Great Again faces,” such as Bannon, had been “systematically undermined” in recent months. He also repeated his displeasure with Trump’s Afghanistan speech, saying it was proof that “he’s not being well served.” When Boyle asked whether Gorka had been fired, Gorka claimed that he’d already decided to resign “last week”–conveniently forgetting that without a security clearance, he would have found it all but impossible to work there.

Gorka said in his resignation letter that he believes the best way he can support Trump “is from outside the People’s House.” Reportedly, that includes following Bannon back to Breitbart. He told Boyle that he is in “negotiations” to return to Breitbart, where he served as national security editor before leaving for the White House. While he doesn’t intend to take up that old role, he does intend to be very active once he formally returns to Breitbart.

“Breaking the back of the fake conservatives and destroying the left-wing’s attempted monopoly of what it means to be America today. That’s what I’ll be working on with you, Matt, and with that great team at Breitbart.”

Breitbart subsequently revealed that Gorka is also in talks about a joint venture promoting “a Jacksonian national security vision.” Gorka defined that vision as defending America as “the most important, greatest embodiment of Judeo-Christian nationhood,” which he saw as “objective truth.”

It takes a lot of effort to be too extreme for this administration. Apparently Gorka pulled it off.
