WATCH The Former VA Attorney General Tell A Fellow CNN Guest To ‘Shut Up’

The problem Republicans have when it comes to people of color isn’t exclusive to President Trump, as the former Attorney General of Virginia, Ken Cuccinelli, proved on CNN Monday morning.

Cuccinelli, along with CNN contributor Symone Sanders, were discussing Trump’s pathetic response to the white nationalist march in Charlottesville on Saturday. One counter-protester was killed when an alleged white supremacist from Ohio drove his car into a crowd of people.

The former Virginia AG began by asserting that the “local blogger” who acquired the permit for the march had used the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee as an excuse to assemble various right-wing hate groups in the same place. As Cuccinelli was speaking, Sanders interjected:

“And now someone is dead.”

Cuccinelli, who is a supporter of President Trump, then told Sanders:

“Can I finish, Symone? Can you just shut up for a moment?”

Sanders lit into Cuccinelli:

“You don’t get to tell me to shut up on national television. I’m sorry, under no circumstances do you get to speak to me in that matter. You should exhibit some decorum.”

CNN host Chris Cuomo then jumped in and commented to Cuccinelli:

“Ken, you don’t want to use language like that when you’re talking to Symone. You can disagree but don’t talk like this on this show.”

So Cuccinelli began whining:

“I keep getting interrupted. How do I keep talking when people keep interrupting me?”

You deserve to be interrupted, Ken. What you’re saying is a load of BS anyway. And for you think it’s acceptable to tell a woman to shut up lets us know that you’re nothing but a bullying jerk, exactly like Donald Trump.
