On Saturday, as President Trump again ramped up his attacks on MSNBC host Mika Brezinski, CNN’s Jake Tapper let the president know that his childish postings on Twitter aren’t helpful to him or the country.
It all began when Trump sent out this tweet:
Crazy Joe Scarborough and dumb as a rock Mika are not bad people, but their low rated show is dominated by their NBC bosses. Too bad!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 1, 2017
Tapper had clearly had enough, and he told the president while also reminding him that he was elected to do more than post insults on social media:
More than 10% of tweets fr @realDonaldTrump as president have been attacking journalists. Far fewer discussing troops, opioid crisis, Syria
— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) July 1, 2017
2/ …North Korea, Assad, punishment of Russia for election interference, how to deal with debt/deficit, famine in Africa, education, …
— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) July 1, 2017
3/ plans to rebuild US crumbling infrastructure, tweets specifically using the word "jobs," what to do in Ukraine, crisis in Venezuela,…
— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) July 1, 2017
4/ attacking media does nothing for the troop in harm's way, the hungry child in Appalachia or inner city, the unemployed factory worker.
— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) July 1, 2017
And yet, we awaken on Sunday and the perpetually juvenile orange-skinned snake that resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is up bright and early, again tweeting out more bullshit:
I am thinking about changing the name #FakeNews CNN to #FraudNewsCNN!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 1, 2017
My use of social media is not Presidential – it’s MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL. Make America Great Again!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 1, 2017
The leader of the free world is a bully with the intellect of a 4-year-old. He’s an embarrassment to this country and all of humanity.
