Trump’s Massive Golf Faux Pas Leave Fellow Golfers Fuming (VIDEO)

President Donald Trump has made the headlines again. This time it is for breaking a ‘cardinal’ rule of the game of golf. Trump drove a golf buggy right up onto the putting green, and this has angered many fellow golfers. Golf courses and greens require a lot of maintenance. There is an certain amount of respect that players are expected show to a course.

The putting green is the most manicured and precious part of a course.

It is a well known rule that you do not drive a golf buggy onto this part of the course.

So what does Trump do? Totally disregards the rules and shows no respect by choosing laziness over etiquette.  Sure he might own the course and some have said he can do whatever he likes, but come on.

According to ThoughtCo.com common golf etiquette says:

“Never drive the cart within hazard boundary lines, or within about 10 yards of water hazards or bunkers, or within about 50 yards of greens (unless you’re on a designated cart path, of course). These areas are especially susceptible to damage by the wheels of golf carts. Never drive onto or close to tee boxes, either, unless on the cart path.”

Some courses allow you to push a buggy across the green. In the video footage Trump is clearly seen driving all over the green, putting extra pressure on the it, with not only his buggy, but with his own body weight.

It might do him some good to walk a few extra meters from the buggy to take his put, everybody else has to.

There is a difference between what you can and what you should do. Sure Trump is allowed to drive on the green of a course he owns, but all golfers know that he really should not. It says a lot about someone who breaks the rules with no consideration at all for others who also use this golf course.
