Filmmaker and political activist Michael Moore is angry. On the back of Democrat Jon Ossoff’s defeat in Georgia, Moore began tweeting in anger. His anger was aimed at the Democrats themselves.
Obviously frustrated, Moore decided to share his feelings with his almost five million followers on Twitter.
Taking full aim at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), he tweeted this:
If u think the party who's won the vote in 6 o last 7 Prez votes but holds ZERO power &is now 0-4 in 2017 votes is going to win next year…
— Michael Moore (@MMFlint) June 21, 2017
and this:
…get a friggin' clue. The DNC&DCCC has NO idea how 2 win cause they have no message, no plan, no leaders, won't fight &hate the resistance
— Michael Moore (@MMFlint) June 21, 2017
He then called for action:
I say this to my 7.5 million ppl on social media & the millions who watch my movies & read my books: Are we going 2 sit by &let this happen?
— Michael Moore (@MMFlint) June 21, 2017
More recently he has tweeted this:
Dear Democrats. Can we talk? Georgia on my mind… pic.twitter.com/iokFp9cyEr

It certainly seems the Democrats think that leaning right is a sure way of winning red states, despite the fact that progressive candidate Christine Pellegrino shocked everyone by winning a long time Republican district in New York this year.
Progressive Georgia’s Ossoff was young, corporate, and did not live in the Georgian district he ran in. He lost despite supporters giving him millions to campaign with. Perhaps because there was no clear message. Moore clearly feels let down by the party and current tactics.
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has shown us that you can have success without loads of money. It’s his message and integrity that people like.
What Is The Democratic Message?
We should all by now agree that saying “I’m not Trump” is not enough. As Moore says, they have to have ideas, leaders, and a plan that people like.
Leaning right was not enough to get former Secretary of State and 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton over the line, and it continues to fail. It is ignorant to think that the Democratic Party, as it currently is, will inspire voters. They need to stand for something.
Sanders is literally the most popular politician in the country right now. He has an 80 percent approval rating among Democrats and he’s a progressive. Perhaps if the Democrats leaned towards his ideas, they would start seeing success.
David Sirota noting this tweeted:
Bernie Sanders has an 80% approval rating among Dems, and my Twitter feed is proof that this really enrages the other 20%.

Strangely, Democrats who are against Sanders don’t care for his ideas, his popularity, and vehemently dislike him. There is a real disdain. A prime example is MSNBCs Joy Reid, who sent a scathing tweet about Bernie Sanders supporters, angering many progressives.
It is strange that the candidate who is so loved and remains so popular against all the odds is disliked in this way.
It really makes you wonder why they hate him.
Hillary supporters got their way: She ran and lost the electoral vote. Why would they now be angry with the man who went on to campaign for her, even after they had tipped the scales in her favor during the primaries?
This division in the party is only helping to give more success to President Donald Trump, as we just saw in Georgia. It might now be time for the corporate Democrats to embrace progressive ideas that are obviously inspiring the people.
This wishy-washy tactic of trying to be Republicans ain’t working, Michael Moore knows it, and he is angry!
