REPORT: ‘Mass Hysteria’ Inside White House Over Possible Mueller Firing (VIDEO)

One of the most damning things President Donald Trump has done since being inaugurated is the firing of FBI Director James Comey. Comey’s firing coincided with an increase in scrutiny regarding Russia’s involvement in the presidential election and, especially, Trump and his team’s involvement with them.

Because of this brazen move, special counsel Robert Mueller had to be brought in to continue the investigation. Now, even more alarm bells are ringing due to Trump contemplating firing this special counsel as well.

CNN anchor Erin Burnett played a clip of Christopher Ruddy, a close friend of Trump and the CEO of Newsmax, who recently appeared on CNN and made this statement:

“I think [Trump] is considering perhaps terminating the special counsel; I think he’s weighing that option. I think it’s pretty clear by what one of his lawyers said on television recently.”

Burnett then asked American Urban Radio Networks White House Correspondent April Ryan if there was any possibility of Trump actually firing Mueller.

Ryan offered this telling look at the inside of the Trump White House:

One of my sources reached out to me just before we went on the air, and they said there’s mass hysteria in the West Wing about this. We don’t know if it’s going to happen or if it won’t happen, but what we do know: if, indeed, the President fire Mueller, it shows that he’s impeding the process yet again. Some would even say it’s obstruction of justice again.”

It seems that in the days since, talks of Trump firing Mueller have cooled down, most likely because it would practically cement the “obstruction of justice” title the Trump seems so eager to covet. Perhaps the “mass hysteria” paid off.

But this firing needs to happen if we want to bring the Richard Nixon comparison full circle. Check out the exchange from CNN below (after the jump):
