Wednesday evening, the Washington Post published an article alleging that President Trump, who has long bragged that he’s not personally under investigation in the Russia probe, is now the subject of a criminal complaint for obstruction of justice by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
So of course Trump had to take to Twitter first thing Thursday morning and try to gin up some sympathy:
They made up a phony collusion with the Russians story, found zero proof, so now they go for obstruction of justice on the phony story. Nice

You are witnessing the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history – led by some very bad and conflicted people! #MAGA

Bad and conflicted people? Staring at your reflection in the mirror yet again, Donnie?
The president’s BS was quickly called out by the Twitterverse:
You're actively under investigation and have been for over a month. Nice.

Here's the thing. Even if Russian collusion is a fake story you can still be guilty of obstructing the investigation. Happy birthday

As president, you should welcome independent inquiry and strive to clear your name in a dignified fashion, not squeal like a giant manbaby.

No, Mr. President. Birtherism was the greatest WITCH HUNT in political history, and YOU started it.
— Adam Best (@adamcbest) June 15, 2017
BTW, a witch hunt is when you attack people on bad evidence, as with your birther attack on Obama. An investigation is about facts.

Please stop comparing yourself to a witch. It's an insult to witches

TBH the Salem Witch Trials might have been bigger witch hunts.

Looks like it’s gonna be a long hot summer for the Trump administration. Guess they better strap in tight and wait for the subpoenas to start arriving.
