WATCH: ‘Justin Trudeau Just Kayaked Up To My House’ (TWEETS/VIDEO)

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is known for being friendly. He recently took that friendliness a step further by paddling up to some Canadians and making small talk.

In a kayak.

World Environmental Day

To celebrate World Environment Day, Trudeau decided to go kayaking in Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario. While he was paddling around in his kayak, he came across a family who was watching the kayaking from their dock.

During their conversation, Trudeau made an effort to get to know the family. He sounded comfortable as he asked how long they’d lived there. In return, the family thanked him for being there to raise awareness.

World Environment Day is celebrated every year on June 5. First held back in 1974, its purpose is to raise awareness about environmental issues. For example, global warming and human overpopulation.

President Donald Trump doesn’t seem to care about the environment, especially after pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement and sending this infamous tweet:

In addition to actually caring about the environment, Trudeau appears to have a wonderful marriage to his wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau. Unlike Trump, whose wife is often seen brushing away his hand or giving him dirty looks.

Canada’s Commitment

Unlike our leader, Trudeau is committed to taking care of the environment. He really drove home this message by saying:

“The future is still bright for those who have the courage to confront hard truths, and the confidence to stay the course. Canada will not back down from its commitment to fight climate change-and we are not alone. Around the world, nearly every country is on our side…Inaction is not an option…We can’t walk away from the reality of climate change.”

In the meantime, Trump is making a laughing stock of America by brushing off climate change. It must be nice to have a leader who actually gives a shit.
