It must have been incredibly painful for President Trump to watch on Thursday as James Comey verbally eviscerated him before the Senate Intelligence Committee, calling him a liar, insinuating that he probably obstructed justice, and asserting that the president cannot be trusted. Trump went the entire day and evening without sending out a single tweet.
But early Friday morning, Trump was back on social media, firing off this missive:
Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication…and WOW, Comey is a leaker!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 9, 2017
That’s one way to spin what Comey said, but it’s also complete BS. And others on Twitter were quick to tear into the Donald:
awww @realDonaldTrump – did u get ur phone back? is twitter time out over? a guy that pees on prostitutes should not use "leaker" as a taunt

Comey is not a leaker.
A leaker is one of the Moscow hookers sent to your hotel room.

Hey Mr. President how about both of you take polygraphs. Loser gets out of town. Deal?

a private citizen sharing his personal unclassified notes is not leaking. Sharing classified Intel with the Russians is.

If he's a liar then how did he vindicate you? And if he cleared you then why are you sweating so hard to discredit him? Something to hide? ?

If he is a liar, how could he vindicate you?

Thursday was not a good day for Donald Trump. If he thought Friday was going to be any better, he just guaranteed that it won’t.
