Dan Rather: After Comey’s Testimony, ‘Jeff Sessions Is A Marked Man’ (VIDEO)

While the vast majority of what former FBI Director James Comey had to say was regarding President Trump, there were also some juicy details about Attorney General Jeff Sessions, which has led some to conclude that his days in the Trump administration could be numbered.

Former CBS News anchor Dan Rather appeared on MSNBC’s All In With Chris Hayes Thursday evening, and he began by noting that Comey’s narrative had been compelling:

“Whether you like what Comey did or not, you have to admit he’s a great storyteller. He took control of the narrative today.”

Then Rather focused in on Sessions, saying that an “overlooked” detail of the day had been when Comey revealed the Attorney General had a third, previously unreported meeting with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Rather added that Comey:

“Put a dagger, if you will, right near the heart of Sessions.”

Host Chris Hayes agreed with Rather, saying:

“There is a target painted on him.”

Joy Reid, who was also part of the debate, wisely pointed out that Sessions “always seemed to know more” about the dealings between the Trump campaign and Russian agents.

No matter how Republicans may try to spin what Comey said, we know that the following people all met with Ambassador Kislyak:

  • President Trump
  • Jeff Sessions
  • Jared Kushner
  • Michael Flynn

The president, along with three of the highest-ranking or most trusted advisers in his administration, met with Kislyak, who is known as a recruiter of spies for the Russian government. Additionally, Trump recently welcomed the Russian ambassador and Russian foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov, in the Oval Office, treating them as if they were honored guests instead of dangerous adversaries.

The Trump administration, from top to bottom, appears to be compromised and involved in a massive conspiracy and cover-up which centers on Russia and the 2016 election. Don’t be surprised when Special Counsel Robert Mueller returns dozens of indictments and this giant house of cards comes tumbling down.
