White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has received a lot of criticism. Even though the current administration insists he won’t be fired, there are reports that’s not the case.
Absent
Spicer was noticeably absent from several press briefings this past week. Replacing him was Principal Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who is the daughter of Former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee (R)
Despite getting a lot of positive feedback, Sanders still received plenty of criticism.
While the White House is claiming that Spicer was absent because of his Navy reserve duty, he was seen hiding in the bushes shortly after President Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey.
The Twitterverse exploded.

You’re Fired
Regardless of his Navy reserve duty, inside sources claim that Spicer might be on the outs. Apparently Trump has been speaking with aides about possible replacements.
Those same aides are apparently reaching out to candidates for the job.
Spicer does have a history of being combative with the press. Less than a month into this administration, he gave such a bad press briefing that it created a new role for Melissa McCarthy on Saturday Night Live. It’s been a recurring role that hasn’t set well with Trump.
There are also reports that Trump is upset that his own staff didn’t defend him over the Comey firing. In fact, Spicer refused to comment when reporters pointed out the conflicting reasons that were given.
According to one source:
“Nothing is decided, but the president has really turned on Sean.”
Even if Sanders or someone else replaces Spicer, who knows how long they’ll last? You can put a positive spin on a pile of trash for only so long. That stench is bound to seep out eventually.
