Alex Jones Defies Trump, Says Comey Really Was Fired Over Russia (VIDEOS/TWEET)

Donald Trump says he fired James Comey after both Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein contended the FBI director’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email server investigation demanded that Comey go. But it sure looks like the real reason was that the FBI’s investigation of the links between Trump and Russia was getting too close to Trump for the White House’s liking. Well, an unexpected source also thinks that Comey was really fired because of Russiagate–Alex Jones.

On Wednesday’s edition of “InfoWars,” Jones told his audience what he claimed to be the real story behind Comey’s firing. Watch here.

Jones claimed that according to his “sources”–a term that must be used in its loosest possible sense coming from Jones’ mouth–Comey was being “manipulated by deep state sources” to keep the Russiagate probe going. He maintained that Comey had been thoroughly “compromised” by the “deep state,” and was merely carrying out a “fake Russia narrative” in an effort to levy blackmail on the White House.

Jones added that he’d spoken with Trump adviser Roger Stone for some time on Tuesday night, and Stone largely confirmed what he has been hearing. He later brought Stone on to discuss the firing further. Watch here.

According to Politico and CNN, Stone had been pushing Trump to fire Comey for some time. Stone adamantly denied this, echoing Trump’s denial from earlier on Wednesday.

However, Stone praised Trump for pulling the trigger. He and Jones compared notes, and their sources said the same things. To hear Stone’s sources talk, Comey blew off “megacrimes” by the Clintons, facilitated by the Clinton Foundation–which Stone derided as a “slush fund.” Instead, Stone’s sources say, Comey wasted time chasing down “the nonexistent Russian collusion,” which is nothing more than a “canard.” Both men’s sources believe that the Justice Department wanted Comey gone because he was a softie at one blush and a “power unto himself” the next.

Later, Jones and Stone went further, saying that with Comey out of the way, it’s time to start locking people up. Jones claimed that the Democrats were “a clear and present danger running around inside our country.” He called for Sessions to “go all out” after the Democrats and “put them back in their heels” before they try to push Trump out.

Stone agreed, claiming that the Democrats were trying for a repeat of how they pushed out Richard Nixon. Apparently Stone, who began his political career under Nixon, forgot that once the “smoking gun” came out, only 15 Republican Senators were willing to even consider voting to acquit Nixon had he been impeached. Not exactly a partisan hatchet job.

Jones accused the Democrats of trying to attack this country, and for that reason they had “nothing to lose by running over these people.” In an obvious pile-on, Stone accused the Democrats of trying to “undo the election,” citing talk about a possible plan to have Trump removed via the 25th Amendment.

So let’s see if we’ve got this right. Trump himself says Russia had nothing to do with Comey’s firing, while a conspiracy theory peddler with close ties to the White House says that Comey was fired for pushing too hard on Russia while coddling Hillary. Which is it? The mere fact we even have to ask this question is yet more proof we do not have a normal White House.
