Ann Coulter, who worships Donald Trump and would probably agree to have his love child if he suggested it, was a guest on The View Monday morning, and she got more than she bargained for when she began trying to defend the so-called head of state.
Co-host Joy Behar commented that she thinks the reason Trump is so fond of attacking the media is he knows it’s only a matter of time before he gets caught in a scandal, so he is immunizing himself against any reports by constantly talking about “fake news.” To that, Coulter replied:
“I mean, of all of the things to attack Trump on. He isn’t attacking the media he’s attacking the fake media. There are so many lies about him.”
As the studio audience began booing, Behar retorted:
“Like CNN?”
Fellow co-host Sunny Hostin then interjected:
“He attacks the New York Times. He attacks all the media.”
A smug Coulter replied:
“Right, all the fake news.”
Whoopi Goldberg then joined the debate, asking:
“Are you talking about all news or about fake news in general? Because he has lied quite a bit.”
That’s when Coulter really stepped in it, asserting:
“Well, he doesn’t like, he’s more of a–”
A flabbergasted Goldberg commented:
“Ann Coulter! He does lie.”
Coulter’s response to that led to more booing:
“He lied one time. No, he doesn’t lie. He’s a BSer. He’s an exaggerator. When he says ‘everyone’s rated this golf course as the greatest golf course in the world.’ OK, the audience doesn’t believe it. He doesn’t believe it. He knows they don’t believe it. But everyone feels nice. That’s what he does. But he doesn’t lie. Hillary lies.”
To that ridiculous bit of bullshit, Behar cut in and said what many of us were thinking:
“I love that you people keep bringing up Hillary. Hillary isn’t thinking about y’all. Let’s talk about the man that is the president of the United States.”
Ann, you and the other brainless Trump minions can call it exaggerating, BSing, or “alternative facts,” but lying is lying no matter how much you try to pretty it up. And it always will be.
