How Has Trump Screwed Us: Let Us Count The Ways (VIDEO)

For a lot of us, the last 100 days have been completely surreal. We feel like we’ve been living in a badly written sitcom.

In fact, we feel like we are being lead by a cartoon villain. If a writer wanted to create an over the top, outrageous bad guy, they’d come up with Donald J. Trump. If that writer wanted to convince viewers that the President is an evil clown, he’d have his character do pretty much everything Trump has done.

Let’s look at some of his worst actions in the past three months.

1. Rolling back bank regulations

After the disastrous financial collapse of 2008, the government passed regulation on banks that were designed to prevent the same type of meltdown. In his first month, Trump signed an Executive Order to undo the Dodd Frank Act. He has promised to let banks have more freedom. We lose.

2. Allowed employers to cheat their own workers

Congress sent a bill to the White House to eliminate the Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces rule. Trump signed it happily. His action took away a regulation put in place by President Obama. That regulation mandated that any company applying for a federal contract must reveal its employment history, including any charges that it has stolen wages or violated safety laws. Trump took those protections away. We lose again.

3. He loves that dirty water

Trump’s attacks on the environment have been completely outrageous. For example, he signed a bill that reversed the law preventing coal companies from dumping waste into local rivers and streams. We lose.

4. Take that, EPA

Trump has basically gutted the Environmental Protection Agency. One of his attacks on the Agency was when he froze all grants, stopping payments to routine actions like water testing. Flint, Michigan, anyone? We all lose.

5. The fox is guarding the hen house

Among other questionable appointments, Trump has put Steve Mnuchin in charge of the Treasury Department. Mnuchin is a Goldman-Sachs partner and hedge fund manager. He was one of the Wall Street executives that pulled in millions in the housing market scandal. Part of his job now is to review every Obama era regulation on corporate taxes. Any rule that Mnuchin thinks is to complex or too much of a financial burden on businesses can be axed. So corporations will find it easier to wiggle out of paying their fair share of taxes. Guess who loses on this one?

6.  The wolf is guarding the sheep

Trump chose a guy named Peter Thiel to lead his anti-trust efforts. You know, preventing giant corporations from merging to form huge monopolies. The only problem is that the billionaire is the author of a book that praised monopoly and the overwhelming importance of the profit margin. Yeah. We lose.

7. We are on the brink of war

In an amazing show of belligerence, Donald Trump has managed to bring us to the very edge of war with the insane dictator in North Korea. His aggressive language and actions have rattled Japan, China, South Korea, North Korea and pretty much all of Europe. Americans are afraid. With his impulsivity and inability compromise, it doesn’t look as if Trump will be the one to blink. The whole world loses.

So there you have it. This list could obviously go on and on, but here are seven of the biggest things that have already been done by this administration to stick it to the average American.

Don’t you feel like you’re in a bad sitcom with a cartoonish villain in charge? If only we could change the channel.
