Actor James Woods Tweets Bizarre Take On Bill O’Reilly Dismissal (TWEETS/VIDEO)

Right wing actor James Woods has established himself on Twitter as one of Hollywood’s most outspoken anti-liberals. When news broke of yet another of O’Reilly’s shameful sexual harassment accusations and his departure from Fox news, James Woods decided to cast doubt on the allegations. First of all he tweeted this article about O’Reilly being let go from Fox:

The strange question Woods prefaces the article with is this one:

“Is it possible big corporations use “sexual harassment” charges as a way to avoid contract obligations?”

Woods is not only doubting that the charges are real, but is even implying Fox had him set up on purpose to save money.

Ah no!

When women come forward and accuse a man of sexual misconduct, that takes real bravery.

Why is it so brave? Because the woman is put on trial. O’Reilly has had several complaints made against him, as well as a tumultuous private life. It took several complaints until they finally had the good sense to let him go.

Not content with this tweet that implied O’Reilly was innocent and a victim of false claims, Woods then goes on to tweet this truly bizarre statement:

At first this seemed like a joke from Woods, who is basically flipping the whole situation to make out Bill O’Reilly has been wronged. That takes a very different kind of person to read the events of the past few days and feel sorry for the perpetrator.

But, given this quote, perhaps we know the rest of the story already?

Women who are harassed, especially by men in power already feel embarrassed and intimidated enough.

Perquita Burgess, the brave woman who most recently spoke up, has even said in an interview on The View that she didn’t come forward for so long because she:

” …Didn’t want the skeptics.”

James Woods is that skeptic and he has not only questioned the multiple allegations against O’Reilly – he also suggests that Fox has ‘discriminated’ against O’Reilly because he is older.

Does Woods mean if O’Reilly had been younger the women would have invited sexual advances? Or does he honestly think Fox would conspire with many women to accuse an innocent man of sexual harassment to get out of paying his pension?

Either way he is wrong!

I am sure if it was Woods’ girlfriend who had been harassed by O’Reilly, he would be singing a very different tune.

Twitter user K.Thor Jensen had a reply for Woods:
