If indeed the old saying “like father, like son” proves to be true, we could soon be facing the prospect of yet another Trump seeking an elected office as soon as 2018.
Donald Trump Jr. recently spoke to the F6 Labs gun club in Hicksville, N.Y., and afterwards a member of the club told the New York Post:
“Don Jr. said he is interested in running for office, such as governor of New York, but the position of mayor of New York would be less interesting to him.”
Current New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is up for reelection in 2018, so if the junior Trump spawn is interested in seeking the office, he’ll need to make a decision before long.
Trump Jr. also reportedly said that he found the return to business “boring” after he returned to it after joining his father on the campaign trail for the 2016 race for the White House, adding:
“The politics bug bit me.“
But another source close to Trump Jr. said the report is wrong and that the so-called president’s son:
“Has no intentions of running for political office at this time. [He is] totally focused on running the Trump Organization with his brother.”
The larger question for Trump Jr. is this: Does he really think he can beat an incumbent Democratic governor in a state like New York. Donald Trump himself lost to Hillary Clinton by 21 points in the Empire State. And Don Jr. is not even as well known as his father. He also has no accomplishments other than being born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
Much like his father, Trump Jr is also fond of posting questionable things on Twitter. For example:
Whats w bedazzled red cowboy hat Maxine Watters is wearing criticizing T party? Easier 2 take u seriously when u dont look like a stripper;)

If Donald Trump Jr. runs to be Governor of New York, you can expect that Eric Trump will announce he wants to be in the U.S. Senate, provided he can ever figure out where exactly they meet.
