Sam Harris Fears Reichstag Moment For ‘Malignantly Selfish Conman’ Trump (VIDEO)

Famed philosopher and atheist Sam Harris has given a general run-down of President Donald Trump’s character that is both funny and scary at the same time. Appearing on the Joe Rogan Show, Harris joined namesake (but no relation) Dan Harris to discuss the current presidency.

Harris is obviously flummoxed that somebody like Trump is actually the most powerful man in the world. He calls him inept, scandalous, and dishonest. These comments from Harris have impact because he requires proof of something before he believes it. Harris believes it is not even a partisan comment to call Trump a ‘malignantly selfish conman‘ but instead it is something that is objectively fact.

He even asks the question:

“Who couldn’t be president at this point?”

Of course referring to the fact that Trump has somehow managed to become president with literally no political or military experience this has opened a wide door. Harris adds that:

“He really only had to pretend to be that wealthy.”

He is referring to Trump’s amazing path to the presidency. Harris is still shocked by the ‘incredible’ situation we find ourselves in.

He then states with disbelief:

“Trump seems to get some of his information from Infowars.”

That on its own is worrying enough. Harris then expresses worry about Trump being at the helm in the case of a terrible event:

“The real fear is if we have a Reichstag moment… something is going to happen. Imagine a 9/11 style event… the pressure to normalize him as commander in chief will be great… (Trump’s) ability to clamp down on civil liberties and use the power of the presidency is a scary moment….”

Adding Trump is:

“a person who is disconnected from facts.”

We are all very worried about the power this man wields.

Harris is a man of science and is visibly concerned about the future. He speaks with utter disbelief that we are in this situation. Trump is unpredictable and the fears are real.
