JUST IN: Mike Flynn Will Gladly Throw Trump Under The Bus… For Immunity (VIDEO)

The Wall Street Journal reports that former national security advisor Mike Flynn has contacted the FBI and both of the Congressional committees investigating the Russia-Trump ties. He told all of the committees that he would be willing to testify… as long as he is promised immunity from prosecution.

This, of course, leads us to assume that he has done something for which he might be prosecuted. This story has been building slowly over the past few days, with hints that the former Trump insider might be willing to turn on his boss.

Flynn was a key member of the Trump campaign. He became one of the new President’s top aides and was named to the position of National Security Advisor. In that position, he had access to all kinds of activities and information going on in the White House.

The former General served less than a month in that important position. He was either fired or forced to resign, depending on your particular point of view, because it was revealed that he lied about his connections to the Russian government. Flynn had denied having contact with the Russians during the transition period, but in fact he had spoken to and met with the ambassador about sanctions and other issues.

As the weeks have gone on since Flynn’s resignation, the Russia controversy has only grown murkier and more convoluted. Like one of those famous Russian “Matrioshka” dolls, every bit of information that comes out has another link with Moscow inside of it.

It was revealed that Flynn had been in personal contact with Ambassador Kislyak since before the election. Later, it was learned that he had earned tens of thousands of dollars from Russian companies, at least one of which was owned by the government.

Now we also know that the links between Russia and the Trump administration may be even more significant.

There are three government investigations going on at this very moment, all of them trying to get to the bottom of what has gone on between the Trump administration and the Russian government. One of them is lead by Representative Devin Nunes (R- Ca) who has seriously compromised himself by trying to use some supposedly top secret information to prove Trump’s fake claim that he had been wiretapped by President Obama.

Mike Flynn, one of Trump’s top supporters, was tossed out of the White House because his ties to Russia were leaked to the press and the public.

Now he is apparently in fear of prosecution as he has watched the Russia-Trump story explode. So he has come forward to offer his testimony, which is likely to be highly informative to all three investigative committees. But he wants to be promised immunity first.

What’s even more interesting than Flynn’s offer, though, is the fact that as of this writing, none of the three committees has accepted it.

You have to wonder what the intel community already has on Flynn that would give them the confidence to pass on his offer and just let the investigations go forward.

I guess we’ll see what they have in the next few weeks.

If you can stand a huge dose of irony, watch Gen. Flynn addressing the RNC. Such hypocrisy.
