GOP Congressman: Trump Owes Obama Apology For ‘Reckless’ Wiretapping Accusation (VIDEO)

Even though it has now been established by both the House and Senate Intelligence Committees that Donald Trump was not wiretapped by President Obama, the administration continues to hold tight to the lie, with the so-called president alleging that new information may come to light in the weeks ahead.

But it would appear that more and more congressional Republicans are growing tired of Trump’s repeated fictions. And now they’re speaking out and urging the alleged head of state to acknowledge that the jig is up.

Oklahoma GOP Congressman Tom Cole said Friday he has seen “no indication” President Obama ordered any surveillance on Trump, and he then added:

“It’s not a charge I would have ever made. Frankly, unless you can produce some pretty compelling proof, then I think the president, you know, President Obama is owed an apology in that regard. If he didn’t do it, we shouldn’t be reckless in accusations that he did.”

That assumes, of course, that Trump has the capacity to apologize, which no one has ever seen him do.

What will it be next? Will Trump try to weasel his way out of this lie and pretend he has secret information on being bugged that he doesn’t want to release for fear it would compromise the source? Or will he just pretend he never actually sent those tweets with the ludicrous accusation on them?

Also, what does this mean for the country as we move forward? Suppose we are confronted with a genuine threat to American national security and Trump desperately needs to make the case for military action–even war. If he addresses the country from the Oval Office and urges us to support such a move, will his past lies cause us to doubt him? Speaking only for myself, I know I sure as hell will question the validity of everything this pathological liar says.
