WATCH A GOP Senator Snap At A CNN Reporter Who Asks About Trumpcare

The Republican replacement plan for Obamacare is a train wreck headed off a cliff. Those on the right don’t like it because it keeps tax credits in place for those who can’t afford their premiums, and Democrats–along with the Congressional Budget Office–say it would dump tens of millions into the ranks of those with no health insurance at all.

And now members of the GOP are getting downright testy about questions regarding the new healthcare plan. For example, Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, who was asked Tuesday by CNN reporter Manu Raju:

“Can you support the House healthcare plan?”

Murkowski replied:

“Hey, Would you give me a minute to get to my constituents, please?

Raju then reminded Murkowski he wasn’t asking for much:

“It’s a yes or no, do you support the House plan?”

Murkowski then snapped at Raju, telling him:

“Would you please be respectful? I’ve been sitting there for two hours, c’mon.”

Touchy, touchy, Lisa!

What really has Republicans so angry is the fact that after whining about how horrible Obamacare was and how they would fix it if they ever took power again, they’re now in the position of having to actually legislate instead of obstruct, and they’re terrible at it. They’ve had eight years to formulate a plan of their own, and all they managed to come up with is something that isn’t accepted by anyone.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had this to say about how the GOP is reacting to their own healthcare proposal:

“[Donald] Trump wants to call it Ryancare, [Paul] Ryan wants to call it Trumpcare; how good could it be if neither of them wants their name on it?”

Is the Affordable Care Act perfect? No. But it needs to be improved, not destroyed.
