John Oliver Skewers Trumpcare On ‘Last Week Tonight’ (VIDEO)

John Oliver gave a very interesting and snarky take on the Republican’s plan for replacing Obamacare, the American Health Care Act. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is absolutely ecstatic about it. The Kaiser Foundation has an interactive map to show you how much money you are going to lose. Oliver showed an example, which meant that the new act would cover less than two-thirds of the current tax subsidies.

John Oliver talked about it on his show, “Last Week Tonight.” He said this about how both liberals and conservatives see this bill:

“… Just being shitty Obamacare, the way Old Navy is a shitty version of the Gap, and the way Easter, let’s be honest, should just really be called shitty Christmas.”

This actually drastically cuts the tax breaks for poor people, who actually voted for Trump by a huge margin. Oliver said this about the Trump voters, who voted against their own self-interest:

“It’s like if the people of Pompei voted for the volcano. I know you get to define your own self-interest, but I wish you hadn’t voted for that volcano.”

At the end of John Oliver’s segment is his new “Catheter Cowboy” commercial that Oliver has aired during Fox & Friends. It is meant to be directly geared toward Trump for him to watch from Washington, D.C.

The Cowboy said:

“If my premiums go up and subsidies go down, I’m going to wind up paying more. That’s basic math there, fella. … If that happens, millions of folks like me might get real angry, which is worth thinking about if you’re the sorta person who really likes being popular. You get that, right? Right? You get that … right?”

Do you understand, Trump? Do you understand, Ryan? No one likes this bill. We are all going to be paying a LOT more for our healthcare now. Also, this is going to take away a lot of coverage for people who are currently on Medicare and Medicaid.
