Steve Bannon, who serves as Donald Trump’s senior counselor and chief political strategist, is a disgusting, reprehensible slug of a human being who radiates malevolence, bigotry, and pure evil. In other words, he’s the perfect person to be advising a douchebag like our alleged president.
Over the weekend, Trump accused former President Obama of engaging in “McCarthyism” and having his phones at Trump Tower under surveillance, though he has yet to provide any substantiating evidence to back up his specious claim.
As it turns out, Bannon–Trump’s right hand–is a big fan of Joseph McCarthy and the damage he caused to this country during the 1950s when he accused hundreds of Americans of being communists and destroyed their lives. Bannon told conservative author Diane West that McCarthy should be praised:
“Today in modern pop culture, you know they call Ted Cruz the Joe McCarthy — if you want to think of who devils are it’s Ronald Reagan and those who name-names at the House Un-American Activities, the Hollywood Ten are heroes right? Alger Hiss is a hero, right? Richard Nixon’s a villain? Joe McCarthy is a villain. Your book makes very plain that these guys were right. The place was infested with either traitors that were on the direct payroll of Soviet military intelligence or fellow-travelers who were kind of compliant in helping these guys get along. I mean, there’s absolutely no question of it.”
Bannon added that groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood and other organizations which advocate for Islam are today’s communists, and a threat to the very foundations of the American republic.
In the same interview, which you can listen to below, Bannon also harshly criticized former President George W. Bush for calling Islam a “religion of peace” and said the entire country is at risk of being “conquered by Islam.”
Does this sound like someone who should be making foreign policy or even be allowed to empty the trash in the Oval Office? Steve Bannon is the latest incarnation of Nazi Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels. He and his perverted ideology are the greatest threat to this country since McCarthyism.
