SNL Releases Hilarious Film Trailer Profiling Unknown Brave Republican (VIDEO)

Leave it to Saturday Night Live. Those guys are absolute geniuses when it comes to making fun of politicians.

Especially certain politicians. While they are equal opportunity trolls, they have gotten such a p*ssed off reaction from Donald Trump and the current group of Republicans in power that they have taken political satire to a whole new level.

Last night’s show went beyond the usual fantastic send-ups and struck at more than just the key players in the administration. In fact, last night Saturday Night Live featured political satire poking fun at…well, we don’t know yet who it was about.

Last night the show ran a trailer for a fake movie titled, Courage, Compassion, Country: The TBD Story

The trailer starts with images taken from today’s news. Unchecked immigration, hate crimes, violence.

A serious male voice intones:

“It was a country in chaos. A nation divided. Led by a president with unchecked power. Until one Republican decided enough was enough. A patriot who put country over party. Who finally stood up for his nation’s founding values. A man by the name of…”

We see a man’s legs and feet, clad in serious, elected official clothes. He climbs the steps of what is supposed to be Capitol Hill. This paragon of political courage is shown from the back as the ominous voice says, “A man by the name of…”

A voice over quickly interrupts with “TBD.”

The trailer goes on from there. The narrating voice talks about the courage it took this man to act. How he only wanted to do what was right. An actor is shown in front of the Capitol, asking the unseen hero,

“You want to speak out against the President? But aren’t you scared?”

Brave response to be determined.

Hilarious.

The whole movie supposedly takes place at some time in the not too distant future, where mothers and their children gaze with awe at the statue of the brave Republican who at last stood up to the insane and corrupt President and whose name is still To Be Determined.

So funny and so sad. You think the guy in the serious shoes is really out there?

Here it is.
