Paranoid Trump Imagining Opposition Organized By Obama (VIDEO)

In a new interview, President Trump accused Barack Obama of organizing protests against him.

One of the hosts of Fox & Friends charged that Obama’s organization (Organizing for Action, presumably) was behind the many recent protests against Trump and his Republican counterparts in Congress. Asked if he believed Obama was behind the protests, Trump said:

“I think that President Obama is behind it because his people certainly are behind it.”

A spokesman for Obama has not responded to the accusations. But Organizing for Action – along with other groups like the SEIU and MoveOn.org – have been generating grassroots opposition to Trump and asking Republicans for town halls.

But Trump was conciliatory and seemed unfazed by what he perceived as Obama’s meddling:

“In terms of him being behind things, that’s politics. It will probably continue.”

The Fox and Friends host pressed Trump to condemn Obama based on the fact that, as he pointed out:

“…Bush wasn’t going after Clinton. Clinton wasn’t going after Bush.”

But Trump, ever the skeptic, replied:

“Well, you never know what’s going on behind the scenes. You’re probably right, or possibly right. But you never know.”

This isn’t the first time Trump has suggested Obama or officials from the former administration of causing trouble. In his most recent press conference, Trump seemed to suggest that personnel from the Obama administration were behind a series of recent leaks tying the White House to Russia. And earlier this month, Trump said that “Obama people” had leaked details regarding his calls to the leaders of Mexico and Australia:

“It’s a disgrace that they leaked because it’s very much against our country. It’s a very dangerous thing for this country.”

The Fox & Friends interview is set to air tomorrow prior to Trump’s Congressional address.
