Feel The BERN: Sanders Laughs At Trump Healthcare Claim (VIDEO)

Despite his campaign promise to immediately repeal and replace Obamacare, President Donald Trump is quickly finding out that it isn’t that simple. When asked about the delay, Trump admitted that the change would take time and work, and then commented that “nobody knew health care could be so complicated.”

Bernie Sanders begs to differ. In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Sanders couldn’t help but laugh at Trump:

“Some of us who were sitting on the health education committee, who went to meeting after meeting after meeting, who heard from dozens of people, who stayed up night after night trying to figure out this thing, yeah we got a clue. When you provide health care in a nation of 320 million people, yeah, it is very, very complicated.”

From the beginning Sanders has blasted the Republican president’s plans to get rid of and replace the Affordable Care Act as unrealistic and overly simplistic. That has played out in the White House and in Congress during the past three months, as the GOP is having a rough time agreeing to a proper course of action to accomplish that goal.

Sanders also has a message from his side of the political aisle: if Trump and the Republicans expect Democrats to cooperate and fall into place, they are in for a rude awakening. While he (and other Democrats) would be open to amending Obamacare to make it a better law, they are not about to vote to repeal it.

What Sanders is interested in doing hasn’t changed since he was a Democratic presidential candidate last year:

“We remain today, and let’s not forget it, the only major country on Earth that doesn’t guarantee health care to all people. We pay the highest prices by far for prescription drugs. Let’s address those issues.”
