‘Media Accountability Survey’ From Trump Camp Is Data-Gathering SCAM

Donald Trump has a love/hate relationship with the media. On the one hand, he needs the media to cover him because he’s a preening narcissist who demands to be noticed. On the other hand, he’s a thin-skinned, whiny baby who cannot stand to be criticized. What to do? How does one manage such a monumental dichotomy?

If you’re Trump and the Republicans, you put a survey online and then try to raise money off it.

They call it the “Mainstream Media Accountability Poll,” and here’s a few of the questions to be found on it:

While there’s certainly nothing wrong with a survey asking voters what they think about the media, it’s interesting to note just how biased the questions themselves are. And then when you get to the end of the poll, they have to ask you for a donation. They also want an email address and name, but you can make those up, just like I did when I completed this laughable exercise in push polling.

As we discovered in Thursday’s epic press conference, Trump cannot live without the constant attention of the media, but he also wishes the press would report the news exactly the way he wants. Most of all, he’s terrified that we’ll discover all of his darkest secrets (does Peegate ring a bell?) and tell the entire world. And in time, we will. So sleep tight while you can, Donnie.
