Welp, another one bites the dust. President Donald Trump’s pick for National Security Adviser to replace General Mike Flynn has turned down the job. Retired Vice Admiral Robert Harward cited family and financial reasons for not taking the position.
Harward said this about turning down the job:
“Since retiring, I have the opportunity to address financial and family issues that would have been challenging in this position. Like all service members understand, and live, this job requires 24 hours a day, 7 days a week focus and commitment to do it right. I currently could not make that commitment. My thoughts and prayers are with those that carry such heavy burdens and responsibility for taking care of our country’s national security concerns. God bless this great country of ours.”
In order to help out President Trump, someone has posted a Craigslist ad to help find someone to match the president’s stupidity on national security.
Having experience is “not at all necessary,” according to the poster. The poster also said that the applicant should have “unfamiliarity” with the Constitution. They also mention wanting someone with fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair.
The ad says, in part:
“This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic warmonger to help the Trump administration support the Military Industrial Complex. We’re looking for an enthusiastic person that will be willing to regularly fabricate marginally believable opportunities for deployment of US troops across a wide variety of geo-political situations. Not a big fan of Muslims? GREAT! Must be able to quickly write a synopsis of the benefits of invading Uzbekistan. Reports must be easily digestible by middle school reading levels, must be readable in public under cell phone illumination. Feeling like Black Lives Matter is gaining too loud of a political voice? US TOO! Help us find creative ways to eliminate that pesky First Amendment!”
This White House is full of nuts.
