U.S. Intel Agencies Withholding Info From Trump Because They Fear Russia Is Listening

Long before he took office, Donald Trump had already started a war with American intelligence agencies, and it now seems that those agencies are so fearful Trump is leaking sensitive data to the Russians that they are refusing to give him all of the information they have.

According to the New York Observer (which is owned by Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law):

“Our Intelligence Community is so worried by the unprecedented problems of the Trump administration — not only do senior officials possess troubling ties to the Kremlin, there are nagging questions about basic competence regarding Team Trump — that it is beginning to withhold intelligence from a White House which our spies do not trust.”

The article, written by former National Security Agency analyst Jack R. Schindler, also notes that recent revelations regarding current National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s contacts with the Russian ambassador prior to Trump being sworn in, have only complicated matters:

“Whether Flynn is monumentally stupid or monumentally arrogant is the big question that hangs over this increasingly strange affair.”

And the Pentagon is also nervous about what is taking place inside the Trump White House. Some Department of Defense officials are convinced “the Kremlin has ears inside the SITROOM.” SITROOM is another name for the White House Situation Room, where the most secretive military decisions are made.

Schindler concludes by saying that such a tense relationship between an administration and American intelligence has never happened before:

“None of this has happened in Washington before. A White House with unsettling links to Moscow wasn’t something anybody in the Pentagon or the Intelligence Community even considered a possibility until a few months ago. Until Team Trump clarifies its strange relationship with the Kremlin, and starts working on its professional honesty, the IC will approach the administration with caution and concern.”

The national security of the United States is at stake. Do the Republicans who control both houses of Congress have the guts to investigate the White House and let the facts take them where they lead? Will they ever admit that the head of state might be a traitor?
