Trump Staff Can’t Find The Lights… Maybe Biden DID Get The Last Laugh (TWEET)

Donald Trump’s first days as president have been mired in chaos and uncertainty. His policies have run afoul of both popular opinion and the Constitution, while his executive orders have been confusing and impossible to enforce.

It’s almost as if Trump and his staff have been working in the darkness.

In what might be the funniest thing from these first two weeks, reports from inside the White House indicate that that is exactly what has been happening. Trump’s staffers have been meeting in the dark because they can’t find the light switches in the cabinet room. This, apparently, after spending hours of their first days in the White House feeling the walls in search of them. According to the New York Times:

Aides confer in the dark because they cannot figure out how to operate the light switches in the cabinet room. Visitors conclude their meetings and then wander around, testing doorknobs until finding one that leads to an exit.

The hilarity of the situation dwindles and then magnifies with the realization that millions of taxpayer dollars are being used in this escapade.

The symbolism of such ineptitude is hard to miss. Before hugely important meetings, staff members who are going to make crucial policy decisions and then not tell enforcement agencies plunge into the room. After feeling their way to their chairs, arms extended, and trampling on whatever lay before them, they feel their way to emotionally-driven decisions, trampling on the Constitution to get there. Finally, when all is said and done, they scurry to whatever door is closest in a desperate attempt to get away.

It’s as if Joe Biden had actually been reading all of those memes, and settled on a true winner.
