Leaks Out Of White House Suggest Some Staffers Think Trump Is Unfit For Office

While it’s nothing new to see White House staffers disagree with the person they work for, the current administration seems to have more than its share of those who are convinced that not only is Donald Trump not up to doing the job, but may actually be completely unfit for office.

Consider what one staffer said took place recently: Trump was uncertain if a strong or a weak dollar was better for the American economy. So Trump decided to call an expert. Did he ask for advice from a fellow business leader such as the ones he has surrounded himself with? Nope. He called his National Security Adviser, Michael Flynn. Flynn told Trump he should probably ask an economist, and that reply didn’t sit well with the alleged president.

But here’s the real kicker: Trump placed the call to Flynn for advice on the dollar at 3 in the damn morning! Flynn told a staffer that his phone rang at 3 a.m. and it was Trump asking if the economy would be better with a strong or weak greenback.

Other staffers report that their impression of the head of state is that he’s a vain and often petty man who cares more about being loved by Americans than getting involved in policy details or solutions.

Eliot Cohen, a senior State Department official under President George W. Bush, commented:

“I’ve been in this town for 26 years. I have never seen anything like this. I genuinely do not think this is a mentally healthy president.”

Then there’s this view of Trump, a man who can be delighted or enraged by the smallest of details. He’s fascinated and impressed with the phone system at the White House, but complained the hand towels on Air Force One aren’t nearly soft enough.

But perhaps the most disturbing reports from staffers involve what the New York Times was able to report of an angry Commander-in-Chief who prowls the White House halls in a bathrobe, unable to stop watching cable news and tweeting out random thoughts about whatever is transpiring in the world.

The White House, as you would expect, denies any of these reports are even remotely true, but considering how much this administration likes to traffic in “alternative facts,” their denials ring very hollow.

Keep in mind this man has control of our nuclear arsenal. All it would take is one insult from North Korea or Iran to set him off and make him reach for the codes to launch an atomic attack on a world leader who makes fun of his hair or small hands.

Unfit for office? This man is unfit to be allowed outside of a padded room.
